Shariah Brown is a graduate of Kalamazoo Central High School class of 2014. Shariah was a member of the Kalamazoo Central Giants Women’s Basketball Program where she served as co-captain. She is a member of Jeter’s Leaders, through this program she has developed and nurtured many social skills and leaderships skills. Shariah participated in YBL for 8 years and has since passed the torch to her little sister who currently plays. Shariah will be attending Glen Oaks in the fall and will be a student athlete; studying Physical Therapy and also being a member of the women’s basketball team. Shariah would love the opportunity to play professional basketball overseas once she gets her degree. She wants to inspire the youth around her and wants them to know that “sometimes it really does get hard when you try to reach your goals but as long as you want it and want it bad, YOU WILL GET IT.”
