Trunk of Treats

Location: 1900 Block of Krom Street
The Trunk of Treat safe Halloween neighborhood event draws over 900 community members to the 1900 block of Krom St. located on the Northside of Kalamazoo. This year’s theme is “Marvel Universe. If you would like to participate by bringing a vehicle to hand out “treats” we ask that you complete the Trunk of Treat Vehicle Registration form. If you would like to volunteer or if you have questions, please contact our volunteer coordinate by email at email@example.com.
Charlie’s PLACE will be providing a 45 minute beginners judo classes teaching techniques of balance, leverage and movement.
Annual Mother & Son Dance
The annual Mother & Son Dance event is a special date night for mothers and sons including dinner, dancing, special performances. This event is intentionally created to encourage a space for mothers and mother-figures( aunts, grandmothers, godmothers, sisters, mentors etc. ) to spend time with their sons.
YBL Mini Camp
YBL mini camp is FREE and open for boys and girls entering 2nd-9th grade. Camp includes conditioning, skills training, teamwork, shooting and dribbling. Also get the opportunity to meet the coaches and staff for the upcoming summer YBL season. You must register to participate in mini camp, space is limited! Memorial Day Parade

Bow Ties and Ballroom
Come dance the night away and help us reach our goal of raising $10,000 to invest in the youth of Kalamazoo community through Charlie’s PLACE programs and events. In addition to raising funds we will be honoring our 2018 Tree House Hero Theresa Williams-Johnson better known as Mrs. Johnson for her commitment to the Kalamazoo community and our youth through education, choir and performing arts.
