Jadakiss Lewis is an eighth grade student-athlete at Linden Grove Middle School. Maintaining over a 3.0 GPA, he participates in football, basketball and track. Jadakiss has also been an active part of Charlie’s P.L.A.C.E. from the beginning as one of the participants in the Charlie’s P.L.A.C.E. introductory video.
A long time participant in the Youth Basketball League (YBL), Jadakiss is a living example of the Charlie’s P.L.A.C.E. leadership model, which seeks to move a person from passive community participant to a fully engaged community leader. Jadakiss started as a basketball player in the YBL program when he was in 5th grade. Since continuing with the YBL program, Jadakiss has become a lead scorer on his team, as well as a volunteer within the program. When he is not playing, Jadakiss often is found assisting with the scores table, helping to maintain the gym or shadowing one of the YBL co-commissioners to learn more about the day-to-day of YBL program operations.
Jadakiss is also a leader off the basketball court. The oldest brother of seven (7) siblings, Jadakiss plays an active role in helping his younger siblings every day with various tasks. Jadakiss hopes to one day start his own business and play professional basketball and football. The motto he lives by is: “just do you and be great at being you.”
Charlie’s P.L.A.C.E. applauds this young leader as he continues to evolve into a productive and influential young man.
