In partnership with Mothers of Hope, this year-round program provides family support, field trips, and access to resources families need. It is through support provided with the Family Program that we continue to build leadership and community engagement.

Charlie’s PLACE is committed to building a strong and flourishing community. The Anti-Violence Program offered at Charlie’s PLACE teaches young people leadership skills in conflict resolution, trauma management, and emotional regulation.

Charlie’s PLACE partners with community organizations that offer events and initiatives that support youth and community development. Community engagement means collaboration with like-minded organizations.

Charlie’s PLACE believes that to reach full potential, community members need to be strong in mind and body. To achieve this goal, Charlie’s PLACE offers judo and martial arts programs that promote balance, discipline, and self-defense. Special classes are available upon request.

One of the ways Charlie’s PLACE focuses on education and leadership development, we have an ongoing initiative that focuses on increasing literacy skills, including reading challenges and free book giveaways.

To empower individuals to become successful at all stages of life to transform and sustain healthy and vibrant communities, Charlie’s PLACE offers summer job opportunities for youth to gain professional skills while working on various programs and events.

Like Youth Leadership Development, Charlie’s PLACE offers a resource hub for attendees of the Youth Basketball League and summer programs, connecting them to community resources.

For those not yet ready for the Youth Basketball League, Charlie’s PLACE offers Youth Basketball League Camps. These free camps for boys and girls in 2nd-9th grade offers conditioning, skills training, and basketball fundamentals. The Youth Basketball League Camp is held twice during the summer.
