Charlie’s PLACE values education and recognizes that education is a road to a thriving community. We offer a back-to-school program that provides resources to help youth and families prepare to have a successful school year.
To celebrate community and community engagement, Charlie’s PLACE hosts a Trunk or Treat Block Party that provides a safe, family friendly event open to all.
We think Charlie’s PLACE has the best community! To celebrate our community and community members, our annual Christmas Party provides gifts and cheer to youth and families to support and celebrate the holiday.
The Charlie’s PLACE annual dinner and dance event for mothers and sons offers a special night of bonding and entertainment.
Charlie’s PLACE is the proud host of the annual Kalamazoo Memorial Day Parade, a family-friendly event honoring those who have served our country. Community members and organizations are invited to participate. Parade applications will open in spring 2026.
Our Family Dinner Series creates a safe, welcoming space for families to share a meal, connect with one another, and access helpful community resources. Dinners are held periodically throughout the year and are open to all.
