Judo is a martial arts form for all people to get in touch with their inner-self. It builds self-discipline and can help one develop balance both mentally and physically. Judo can also be used as self-defense. In Judo, as in life generally, there are three components that need to be aligned for one to be able achieve inner peace: the MIND, BODY, and SOUL. When one of these components is out of alignment, a person will often find that he or she has problems staying on task.    

Sensei Charles Parker is a black belt in judo and has been teaching Judo classes over the last 30 years. Youth who have participated in these programs have gained self-discipline and character development. These classes have been used for several methods including targeted classes for at risk youth to find alternative techniques to dealing with anger and stress.
